IMCA’s ever popular Dynamic Positioning (DP) Conference will be held for the first time in Türkiye on 3 and 4 June, at the Renaissance Polat Bosphorus in the historic city of Istanbul.
The two-day technical seminar welcomes the world of DP to explore the latest trends, best-practice, and innovation.
Underpinning this is a focus on improving offshore safety and performance through collaborative sessions, engaged Q&As, and structured debates – all of which feed into the outputs of IMCA’s Marine Dynamic Positioning Committee, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of your industry.
Hosted again by science journalist Richard Hollingham, the Conference will debate one of the most contentious issues in DP: when and how vessels should operate in ‘closed bus-tie’, and how these decisions impact vessel efficiency, emissions, and safety.
The Conference will assess the growing expectations from regulators for vessels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the scope for alternative fuels and new technology to support operational efficiency and greater safety.
Delegates will hear from industry leaders, explore real-life DP events and incidents, get the latest updates on training and assurance, discover technical innovations, and debate pressing issues with colleagues from around the globe. Attendance is vital for anyone working in DP – from experienced Captains to recently accredited sea-going staff, whether working on offshore wind, or oil and gas projects.
