Our contribution to offshore training has been recognised by the Brazilian Navy which presented IMCA with a Medalha Amigo da Marinha, or ‘Friend of the Navy’ medal.
The prestigious award was created in 1966, and is awarded to individuals or organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the development of the maritime industry in Brazil, and who promote and support the Navy.
IMCA South America chair John Chatten (Fugro) was presented with the medal at a dedicated ceremony in Rio de Janeiro on 4 November 2021.
