IMCA has today announced the shortlist for the IMCA Awards 2024, celebrating innovative and impactful projects in three categories: Safety, Sustainability, and – new for this year – the ProjectGHG Award, which recognises progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The winners will be announced onstage at the IMCA Global Summit, which will be held on 3 and 4 of December in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Safety Project of the Year:
- DeepOcean: Digital self-verification of ‘Life Saving Rules’
- Olympic Subsea: ScanReach Connect POBS
- Saipem: Video analytics system for workplace safety
Sustainability Project of the Year:
- MMA Offshore: Wonder Reef – Gold Coast dive attraction
- Saipem: Environmental risk management in bid preparation
- Subsea7: BORA Blue Ocean Research Alliance® - collaborating to enable greater ocean access for scientific research
ProjectGHG Project of the Year:
- ADNOC Logistics and Services: Cold ironing shore power project
- Solstad Offshore ASA: the Solstad Green Operations® initiative
- Stillstrom: Offshore charging – enabling the decarbonisation of windfarm operations and maintenance

IMCA’s flagship Global Summit will bring hundreds of business leaders and technical experts together in Utrecht on 3 and 4 December to learn, network, and debate some of the key challenges facing the marine contracting industry.
Featuring presentations, panel debates, and Q&A sessions, the Global Summit will hear from keynote speakers including the award-winning safety expert Dr Todd E Conklin, Forum for the Future CEO Dr Sally Uren OBE, Rystad Energy’s Fredrik Ellekjær, HSM Advisory’s Oliver Ferriman, and Chris Lemons, the North Sea diver whose incredible survival story is featured in the BBC / Netflix documentary Last Breath.
