IMCA committee elections are on the horizon and a new cycle will start in 2024 with elections for Marine, Diving, Offshore Survey, Remote Systems and ROV, HSS, and Europe & Africa all taking place next year.
Being elected to our committees is a great way of influencing the future of your industry and offers the opportunity of shaping IMCA’s workstreams including the production of relevant guidance and information notes, inputting into our programme of industry events, and driving a proactive committee agenda.
In return, IMCA expects committee members to provide between one and five hours a month (depending on the role as chair, vice chair or member) to IMCA commitments, and an induction to the role will be offered.
Commenting on the upcoming elections, Jim Cullen, Technical Director, IMCA said: “For you and your company becoming involved in the work of IMCA’s committees is a great way for your organisation to give back to your industry and offers the opportunity to raise your personal professional profile.”
“With elections soon upon us, now is the time to consider how you can help us shape the future of the offshore industry and I’d urge anyone interested to get in touch with our membership team to find out more.”
Further details of upcoming elections will be shared in due course.
Questions on the election process and expected requirements of committee members can be addressed to IMCA’s membership team who will be more than happy to help. If you are interested in playing a role shaping the future of our industry, let the team know as soon as possible.
