Summary of the 18th Intersessional Working Group on the Reduction of Greenhouse Gases from Ships (ISWG_GHG 18)
As IMO moves to finalise the legal requirements in a new Chapter (Chapter 5) of MARPOL Annex VI entitled ‘Regulations on the IMO net-zero framework’ required to implement the revised GHG Strategy, several meetings are scheduled this year (see timeline below), the first of which being the 18th session of the Intersessional Working Group on Green House Gases (ISWG-GHG 18) which is summarised in this Information Note.
